At the VIIIth European Conference on
PCP, held in Kristianstad, Sweden April 8-11, a symposium on
PCP and the arts was held.
The conference web site is still accessible at: http://www.pcp-net.org/epca2006.
During an "Evening of Creative Construing", conference participants
presented a variety of artistic endeavours: a jazz band played, poets
read their own poems, poems by others were recited, too. Comedians
performed, folk songs and other tunes were sung, and a classical trio
performed lieder by Louis
Spohr, accompanied by piano and clarinet. Some participants also
presented drawings and collages in a little art exhibition. (13-4-2006)

Inspired
by the symposium at the
Columbus conference, a network of PCP people with an
active interest in the arts has come to life, initiated by Jörn Scheer and Vivien Burr. Currently, more than
30
colleagues who either do research in
the arts or are creative
practitioners (as musicians, dancers, poets, painters etc.) have
joined. Access to the members' section of the network's website
requires a password. (12-8-2005)
